Dojo Location

Parking is at the rear of the building. Enter through the rightmost door as you face the rear of the building. Classes are held in the classrooms at the front of the building. After entering the building, proceed to the end of the hallway and turn left. The classrooms are through the second and third doors on the right in this second hallway.

Exceptions: Thanksgiving: There will be no classes on Wednesday and Thursday, November 25-26.

Christmas: There will be no classes on Wednesday and Thursday, December 23-24.

New Year's Eve: Members interested in attending class on New Year's Eve, Thursday, December 31, should contact the instructor. Class will be held on the usual schedule if there is sufficient interest.
Fees: Classes cost $40 per month or $10 per day; students paying the monthly fee can attend any combination of classes.

Darrell Tangman Head Instructor:
Darrell Tangman, 6th Dan

Shidoin, United States Aikido Federation. Began training under professor Taitetsu Unno in 1970, while a graduate student at the University of Illinois Urbana campus. Also teaches at Aikido Center of Atlanta.

Guest Instructor
Lamar Sanders Lamar Sanders,
4th Dan

Chief Instructor, Columbia Aikikai. Usually teaches here on the first Monday each month.

Founding Instructor
McLowery Elrod McLowery Elrod,
Shodan (1st dan)

The founder of the Augusta Aikido Club. Dr. Elrod has relocated to the Americus area, where he has organized a new dojo.
